Before you email anyone, you need the right setup.
- Get the status of your setup with a deliverability testing tool. Tools like Mail Tester are free to use.
- Use those insights to optimize your infrastructure for the specific ESP (ie Outlook) & email platform (ie Quickmail) you use.
- Once it’s solid, find 10+ people in your network. Ideally, these are friends, colleagues, or family willing to do you a favor.
- To maximize success, notify them ahead of time on another channel & ask them to respond to an email you send.
- Send emails to 2 – 5 people from this list every day so they can open & respond. The point is to secure high engagement stats.
- Do this for 1 – 2 weeks or until you run out of people. Then re-test for any additional improvements.
